This 2001 Nissan Primera has a 2500 cc DOHC engine producing 170 BHP (Brake Horse Power) which is strapped to a CVT Automatic transmission and gives us 13Km per l liter of petrol which is pretty good for a 2.5 liter car! All of this is fed via the 60 liter fuel tank. The 2.5 Primera has a turning circle of 5.5 Meters
The Primera first took the stage in 1990 with the introduction of the P10 Primera. Quite a boxy looking vehicle in the 90's, this latest version has made a radical change in both appearance and size, with a bigger overall body, larger engine size available and curved flowing lines, in fact it's such a different looking car than its predecessor, it makes me wonder if Nissan didn't start out designing a car they couldn't think of a name for, so decided to call it another Primera!

Rod Milner Demonstrates An Amazing 2004 Toyota Estima Disability!

This is by far the most amazing disability vehicle I have ever seen! Only the Japanese could have done this. The driver is the person with a movement restricting disability. This car would be great for someone who wishes to remain independent and mobile.
The Driver's seat is actually an electric wheelchair with wheels that fold away into the underside of the chair. When sitting in front of the steering wheel and using only hand controls, the driver is able to accelerate, brake, indicate, turn and honk and needs no assistance getting in or out of the vehicle. On the key ring is a remote control, once the key has been removed from the ignition, the driver pushes one of the buttons, the driver's chair slides back, the side door automatically opens and the drivers chair extends out of the vehicle, unhooks itself from the frame and is powered up, ready to go. Yes, the driver's seat is now an electric wheelchair!

I am a Panel Beater by Trade, and have lived in Japan for 18 years, 10 of which I was a professional car inspector/contract car buyer and that is how I meet Rod Milner.
I first started purchasing cars for Rod in 2001. My job was to visit the Car Auctions in Japan, check the cars and make sure they would comply with N.Z. Compliance (See Compliance Video). I have always been impressed by the way in which Rod Milner conducts his business and have always known him to be a man that stands behind what he says.
Rod has always targeted very, very low km cars, this is because he likes selling “near new cars” verses “nearly end of life cars”.
Many years ago, life’s experiences introduced Rod to the world of disabilities. From here he took what he had learnt and worked to assist the lives of those less fortunate. Today he is considered New Zealand’s resident expert on disability vehicles ex Japan and in doing so, has improved the lives of countless.

The driver's seat IS a wheelchair and is electrically operated with a long lasting battery attached to the back of the chair. The wheels under the body of the wheelchair unfold and fold away as the chair leaves or enters the vehicle. Inside, the driver is able to operate the car using only hand controls.
